LIVIGNO, Province of Sondrio — Colorado athletes were on the world stage in the freestyle skiing men's halfpipe final on Friday at the Milan Cortina Winter Games. Alex Ferreira, of Aspen, Colorado, won the gold medal in the men’s halfpipe final to complete his collection of Olympic medals.

Triumph turned to disaster and nearly a tragedy in an instant at the men's freestyle skiing halfpipe at the Winter Olympics today. Entering the third round of runs in the final, three-time Olympic medalist Nick Goepper was in bronze medal position with a score of 88.

The men's aerials qualifiers and final were rescheduled for Friday starting from 4:30 p.m. ET, while the men's halfpipe qualification runs were moved to an hour after that.
