NASA's 2nd wet dress rehearsal is underway in Florida as the agency prepares to test-fuel the towering Space Launch System rocket for Artemis 2.

NASA is taking another crack at fueling its giant moon rocket after leaks halted the initial dress rehearsal and delayed astronauts' first trip to the moon in more than half a century

NASA announced today (Feb. 20) that it’s targeting March 6 for the liftoff of Artemis 2, which will be the first crewed mission to go beyond low Earth orbit since Apollo 17 back in 1972.

NASA will again attempt to fuel up its moon rocket and do a launch-day walkthrough ahead of its Artemis II mission to send four astronauts around the moon.

NASA's second attempt to fuel up its Artemis 2 moon rocket appeared to go well on Thursday (Feb. 19), potentially keeping the mission on track to launch as soon as early March.

NASA's Artemis II rocket successfully completed a major prelaunch test. The crew will now enter quarantine as potential launch dates come as early as March.

The four astronauts heading to the moon for the lunar fly-by are the first humans to venture there since 1972. The ten-day mission will travel more than 600,000 miles.
