Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie was absent from the June 17 and June 18 episodes of the morning show, with Sheinelle Jones filling in for her alongside Craig Melvin.

Savannah Guthrie was absent from the Today show for two days this week due to filming commitments. Co-anchors Craig Melvin and Sheinelle Jones explained that Guthrie was “on assignment” Wednesday and Thursday for the upcoming Worlde game show.

Savannah Guthrie's job as a "TODAY" co-host requires her to be an early riser. On the clock by 5:30 a.m., she's often up by 3 or 4, prepping for the morning show. However, she sets her alarm even earlier for a very important reason: exercise.
